Quality Improvement and Compliance Director – Erin Bailey, RN
I moved from California in 2016 with my husband, Sam, and came to Salem and started in home health as a SOC nurse after working first in the ICU and then in hospice prior to moving. Until that time, I’d had a basic understanding of home health services as the other half of the coin to hospice, but working in home health was definitely its own set of unique challenges. Home health proved an outstanding example of how health care can take on a more proactive role in the chronically ill and fragile populations with preventing complications, minimizing or controlling symptoms, and helping patients to become empowered to understand and participate at a higher level in their own health needs. Its really about being in the trenches with our patients and fellow clinicians to creatively problem solve with a multitude of barriers that could present themselves. Sort of liking having an ever changing puzzle that you’re continuously working to solve. It keeps you on your toes and forces you to adapt and be open to learning every day! I enjoy the challenges of home health and that I get to continue to work with the geriatric population.
Director of Clinical Operations – Tirzah Lanoie, RN
Tirzah has worked as an RN since 2009, and then found her passion in Home Health in 2010. A Maine native, Tirzah graduated from the University of Maine in Augusta and worked as a Registered Nurse for Maine General Home Health and Hospice until her family decided to grow new roots here in Oregon. As soon as she started in Home Health, Tirzah realized it is where she belonged. She was able to see patient’s at their level, problem solve issues with them using the patient’s strengths and barriers to develop a successful care plan. The relationships she was able to build by working with her patients over several weeks helped her to identify way she could support the patient in becoming independent in managing their own health care needs. Working her way up from case managing RN, Clinicial Manager and now Director, Tirzah is able to continue to effect positive patient outcomes by working on staff development. As the Director of Clinical Operations, Tirzah oversees the daily operations of the agency, ensuring knowledgeable staff and excellent patient care.
